Crandon Golf Course is one of the top 75 courses in the world, and number 17 our of 1200 Florida golf courses. It is challenging as well as beautiful. It has a feeling of being very isolated despite being only ten minutes from downtown Miami. This 72 par course is 6893 yards in length, making it quite the workout! It is also the home of iguana, raccoons, crocodile, manatees, dolphins, and other wildlife. Its fourth hole is one of the longest par fives in Florida, at a whopping 638 feet in length. The seventh hole has been touted as one of the most challenging in Florida, with a par four dogleg that sails out right over the water. Overall, the 18 holes are filled with doglegs and other challenges, all surrounded by lovely mangrove trees. Bring your best game to Crandon, because it is unforgiving to anything less.


The Doral Golf Resort is probably the most storied of all the Miami golf courses. It's home to the largest pro shop in the world, over 4,400 square feet. More importantly, it's a well designed and challenging course, with championship tees rated at 73.30, with a distance of 6602 yards. The course was built in 1967 by Robert von Hagge, and is lovingly maintained with excellent greens.

Whatever your game's level, you can always find a great time on the greens of Miami. This is actually the site of some of the least expensive green fees in golf, with rates in the winter as low as $40.
